RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 100g butter
- 120g plain chocolate
- 120g caster sugar
- 150g self-raising flour
- 40g cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baked powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 pears
Directions:
- Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water.
- Remove from heat and add the sugar, then the flour and cocoa.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into a greased and lined cake tin. Add peeled and sliced into the half pears.
- Bake at 180°C for about 50 minutes or until risen and springy to the touch.
- Leave to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the tin.
