PIE CRUST
Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 150 g butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/6 cup stewia powder or 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 tablespoons ice water
Directions
- Sift the flours into a large bowl. Add the butter and egg, cocoa powder, stevia or sugar, water, salt.
- Mix all ingredients until they are combined and the dough forms a nice round ball. Wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes before rolling.
- Using a rolling pin flatten the dough quite thinly.
- Roll out dough, and put in a pie plate. Fill with desired filling and bake.
- Bake at 180 C until crust.
CHOCOLATE GANACHE with bananas
Ingredients
- 100g bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 40g butter, cut into pieces
- 1/2 tablespoon stewia powder or 2 tablespoon confectioners sugar (optional)
- 2 bananas
Directions:
- Warm the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just starts to boil. Let sit for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the butter (and sugar if you want super sweet tart) and stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache onto a crust pie.
- Cut 2 bananas into slices and decorate the top of the tart.
- Chill in the refrigerator about 30 minutes.
